Congratulations GCHS!

On October 1st, assessment and accountability data on Kentucky's schools was released by the Kentucky Department of Education for the 2014-2015 school year.  With this data, Gallatin County High School saw many areas of improvement that both teachers and students should be congratulated for!

2014-2015 Accountability Celebrations:

  • In just two years, we have increased our College and Career Ready rate from 43% to 67%.  This is based on the number of seniors who graduate College and/or Career Ready.
  • Our overall Annual Measurable Objective (Overall School Performance) has increased from 53.5 in 2013 to 69.7 in 2015.
  • We have moved from the 16th percentile in the state in 2013 to the 66th percentile in 2015.
  • The number of students who have scored Proficienct/Distinguished in Reading, Science, and Writing has increased.
  • The number of students scoring Proficient/Distinguished on the Biology End of Course Assessment increased from 11% to 37.3% in 2015.
